Meet Miss CollinsTo my first grade families,
I want to welcome you to 1st grade! My name is Miss Anna Collins. I am very excited to be learning partners with you in your child's education. I believe that my excitement is contagious. Students will soon learn that our room is a place where we can learn, have fun and grow. This year will fly by so quickly. My goal is to make a contribution that will last a lifetime. I attended Grosse Pointe Public Schools and am happy to now be returning to the classroom as a teacher! I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Wayne State University in 2013. More recently I have been working on my Master's Degree from Michigan State University. Go Green! This is my third year at Mason and I am so excited to begin working with your children. When I am not teaching, I enjoy baking recipes old and new (thanks, Pinterest!), which is usually followed by going to the gym. I love taking trips to visit my sister in Petoskey and am happy to have welcomed home my older brother from Pensacola. It was a nice place to visit but it's even better to have us all back in the mitten! As a first grade teacher I am always available to you. I always check my school emails and that is the best way to get in touch with me. I will make sure to get back to you within twenty-four hours. You will see me outside on the playground as I begin and end the day with your children. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. This school year is going to be filled with learning, making memories and growing into even better students. I look forward to a wonderful year in Room 206! Your partner in education, Anna Collins |
